This custom cable railing project, completed in Long Beach Township, New Jersey, was designed to complement the home’s coastal architecture while providing the durability required for life on the Jersey Shore.

The railing system features Duplex 2205 stainless steel posts, 316L stainless steel cable infill, and a custom cedar cap rail selected to match the home’s natural cedar siding. The warm wood top rail creates a seamless visual connection between the railing system and the exterior finishes, helping the railing blend naturally into the home’s overall design.

For maximum corrosion resistance, the structural posts were fabricated from Duplex 2205 stainless steel, one of the most durable stainless steel alloys available for marine environments. The posts were then professionally powder coated black, creating a clean, modern appearance while providing a striking contrast against the cedar siding and wood cap rail.

The combination of black posts, stainless steel cables, and natural wood accents delivers unobstructed views without sacrificing strength or architectural appeal. Careful field measurements and precision fabrication were required throughout the multiple deck and rooftop terrace areas to ensure consistent cable spacing, smooth transitions, and a flawless finished appearance.
